islamization of education

I’m still trying to put together a “dream team” of committed educationalists to help me lay the foundation of Islamized curriculum for Muslim International Schools.
If there are any concerned teachers viewing my blog, please reach out and lets try to get the ball rolling.

  4. Rabia says:

    Salaam alaykum Dr. Bilal,
I am interested in this project. Although, I’m finding your blog only at this time, but I am gathering from the blog history that there isn’t a curriculum islamization portal constructed at this time.
I am in the United States, and our community doesn’t have an Islamic school (i.e. Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton). So, I am planning to home educate, in sha Allaah. It is in my best interest for successful home education to be a part of this movement, bi-ithniAllaah.
I will email my resume to your email address.
My Islamic education truly only began in January 2011 at the IOU diploma courses; however, I have been trying to gain pure Islamic knowledge since I reverted to Islam in 2004.
Jazakum Allaahu khairan for everyone’s effort on this project!

    was-salaam alaykum,
    Rabia

Assalamu ‘alaikom ww. Dear Shaikh, I am Norhassan, one of the minorities from Philippines but among the biggest family to which we all belong–the Ummah. =)
This move of “educating Muslim Children” has been an idea running for years in my head. Alhamdulillah, Allah indeed is the best Disposer of all affairs. I believe he led me to this page of yours so we, along with the Muslims concerned, can collaborate on this project, bring it to reality and in the end, produce NOBLE MUSLIM YOUTHS WHO WILL RE-ASSUME  THE LEADERSHIP OVER MANKIND and make the whole world bow before the Almighty.
I’ve been reading books about this move and I believe that to share them for your references would be my preliminary contribution. Dear Shaikh and brothers/sisters, please read:

InshaAllah, these will do for now. And my advice and reminders to all of us who intend to work on this project.
    1. We must make sure that in all our would-be textbooks, their primary reference is the Quran and the Sunnah.
    2. Our goal is not only to make textbooks but to make people who will teach these textbooks to the next generation and to the next and so on until the whole world bows before the Almighty.
    3. We must not make a dichotomy between the religious sciences and the natural sciences for to do so is unislamic. Knowledge in the Quran is termed as ‘ilm. That encompasses all knowledge.
    4. Another important goal for us is to instill CONFIDENCE in the Muslim youth in their being Muslims and make them think that they are Muslims, they are different and they are proud.
    5. Lastly, we will do all these, from the beginning till the end, only for Allah’s sake.
May Allah, the Source of All Knowledge, guide us all. Ameen.
