Welcome to Doha and great to hear that you desire to make the ultimate step to the true religion of God. You may call me for details as the the procedures here at 5834013. There are two mosques in Doha which have sermons in English, Fanar, where I was the Imaam for Jumu'ah prayers for over a year when it first started, and now the Aspire Mosque opposite Villagio Mall, where I currently am the Friday Imaam.

I am new to Doha, Qatar and am wanting to convert from Christianity to Muslim. Do you have any recommendations on what approach that I need to take? And also what mosques here are taught in English?

Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely yours,
Lindsey

wa alaykum salaam brother,

I would advise you to try Saudi Arabia and the Sudan before Qatar, as life is very expensive here and the BA level programs are not very strong, furthermore, the Arabic for non-arab courses are not appropriate for your needs.

was salaam

Assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah,
dear shaykh Bilal, I am not sure if you will be able to respond to posts in this blog or not, however I would firstly like to commend you in your efforts to spread of daw'ah of Islam to the world, Muslim and Non-Muslim alike. May Allah accept your efforts.
Secondly, I would like some advice, as I am a Muslim convert from Canada who is currently living in Egypt where I originally came to study arabic and Islam. I have found more and more that this country is hardly suited for hijrah and is very hostile to islam in general. I have heard much good about qatar, could you possibly advise me with an approach to live there, and study the deen. wa jazak allah khayr.
